The line of Tudor timepieces first entered the market place early in the 20th century. At that time, the brand was very closely identified with Rolex, including carrying the Rolex crown on the watch face and coming packaged in the famous Rolex oyster casing. However, by the 1990s, a definitive decision was made to more clearly delineate the two lines or brands of watches with the goal of making Tudor market presence more substantial.
The best sales argument for Tudor was always their direct connection to Rolex. Conceived right from the beginning as the ",tudor watches;second" brand,FRANCK MULLER watches, Tudor is more moderately priced than its bigger, tag heuer watches, more famous brother. Genuine Tudor watches are sold through official Rolex retailers but are currently not available in the United States. It continues to be sold in Europe, Asia and Canada
