Second Life Open Source Tutorials (abrevated SLOST); is a collection of websites, wikis, blogs, links and programs that are (hopefully) useful to the intermediate level second life content creator. Initially a spin off of the blog Pixelized Thoughts, SLOST is more focused on tutorials and content creation, instead of SURLS, Events, Editorials and various visuals from inside of Second Life, as well as an attempt to streamline content into an easy to read collection of links and information; allowing the content creator to learn the basics of content creation with free open source programs quickly, without constantly searching for new information. With the introduction of the Post Outline, as an attempt to streamline the blog into a quick reference for basic to intermediate content creation. SLOST Newb Guide, is a collection of information for those new to Second Life, who are interested in content creation, but are missing some of the basics necessary to grasp the concepts and ideas in the SLOST posts. The world of Second Life is quite vast, and even the most experienced resident, is constantly learning new ways of doing things, in the ever changing metaverse. SLOST was created on December 19, 2007, but the original posts from Pixelized Thoughts, were cross posted or moved to SLOST, and posted under the original date that they were created.
